Today, in the atrium of the National Museum, the end of a successful project “Moving towards an Administration without Unnecessary Papers” was realized with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom, through the Good Governance Fund. At the conference that was held on that occasion, organized by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the British Embassy and the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, pointed out that this was a great day for entrepreneurship in Serbia, because the economy can no longer be imposed with the obligation to use a stamp.
As of today, the Stamp becomes history

With entry into force of the amendment of the Law on Business Companies, the use of stamps for business entities was abolished. The provisions of 10 laws and 107 bylaws, which mentioned stamps, were repealed. No institution, bank or organization anymore has the right to demand a stamp from business companies or entrepreneurs. Stamps are no longer needed when receiving mail, issuing various certificates, filling out forms, filing requests, etc. Companies and entrepreneurs that were established after October 1, 2018 do not have to make stamps, while the existing ones can gradually expel them from use.
The Office for IT and eGovernment, in cooperation with the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED), has provided a contact email address ukidanje.pecata@gov.rs for all legal entities who wish to report the institutions requesting their stamp. In the following month, a contact center will be launched which, in addition to receiving applications from businessmen, will also provide support to employees in the use of electronic services and electronic data exchange.
Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment, Mihailo Jovanovic (Associate Professor, PhD), participated in the panel discussion during the conference and on that occasion emphasized the importance of establishing the Office as a government service aimed at creating a transparent and efficient public administration in the service of citizens and the economy, as well as the improvement of electronic services that save time and money for citizens, economy and the state.
