The visit was organized at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Srpska, Željka Cvijanović and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, related to the modernization and digitalization of the teaching process in the Republic of Srpska and the support of the Republic of Serbia in the process of public administration digitalization. The meeting was also attended by Natalija Trivić, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska, and Saša Stojanović, Assistant Minister for Digitization in Education of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
As a result of the good cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, today's visit was organized with the purpose of final arrangements regarding the inclusion of the Republic of Srpska in the Digital Transformation Knowledge Dissemination Program “Serbia Digitalizes”, as well as the assistance of the Republic of Serbia in the form of 500 digital classrooms in elementary schools in the Republic of Srpska.
“The exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences is what we strive for and it is natural for the Republic of Srpska and Serbia, but also crucial for the development of the entire Western Balkans region. It is indisputable that only together we can move forward faster, and today's meeting is another important indicator that the results of the Government of the Republic of Serbia in the field of digitalization and public administration reform are recognized in the region and the world”, said Jovanović.
Be reminded that in July in Skopje (North Macedonia), Mihailo Jovanović (Associate Professor, PhD), the Director of the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment and Damjan Mančevski, Minister of Information Society and Administration of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, signed a Cooperation Agreement in the field of digital transformation and knowledge transfer regarding the new concept of the Government of the Republic of Serbia’s website, as well as establishing a Citizens' Contact Centre.
