Baby, Welcome to the World

The information system “Baby, welcome to the world” has been introduced in all maternity wards in Serbia, and the total number of applications that have been sent electronically from maternity wards so far is more than 117,098. Over 90% of parents opted for this electronic service in the maternity ward.

The second phase of this project, which began in January, is the parental allowance “per-click” and is available in 38 cities and municipalities, and as of this fall throughout the entire Serbia as well. The City of Belgrade went a step further, enabling mothers in Belgrade to apply, already from the maternity ward, for maternity benefits, unemployed maternity benefits, maternity benefits for the first child, as well as maternity benefits for a third child.
